This Privacy Policy explains what data RouteVision processes, why that data is required, and how it is protected when using the web service and mobile applications.
About RouteVision
RouteVision is a GPS monitoring service for vehicles, mobile devices, and work assignments. The service allows companies to view the current location of connected devices, store movement history, and manage work assignments.
In this Privacy Policy, the terms “RouteVision,” “we,” and “the service” refer to the RouteVision service available through routevision.am and the associated mobile applications.
Data We Process
Account and company data
Name, email address, phone number, company information, user roles, and other information required to create, maintain, and administer an account.
Location data
RouteVision may process precise device location, including GPS coordinates, location timestamp, accuracy, speed, direction of travel, and related route information.
Background location
When tracking is enabled and the user has granted the required operating system permissions, the mobile application may collect and transmit location data even when the application is not visible on the screen.
Device and application data
We may process technical device or installation identifiers, application version, connection status, application operating parameters, and other technical information required for the stable and secure operation of the service.
Routes and work assignments
RouteVision processes movement history, route points, addresses or coordinates for the start and end of an assignment, assignment status, completion time, and related operational information.
Security data
We may store technical logs, IP addresses, authentication events, access attempts, and other information required to prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect accounts.
Why RouteVision Uses Background Location
Background location is one of RouteVision’s core functions. It is required for continuous GPS monitoring of a connected work device, building movement history, and displaying the device’s current location to authorized users of the company.
Without background location access, route tracking may be interrupted after the device screen is locked, another application is opened, or the device continues operating for an extended period without RouteVision being visible.
How We Use Data
Data is used for the following purposes:
- displaying devices on a map in real time;
- creating and storing movement history;
- executing and monitoring work assignments;
- synchronizing data between devices and the server;
- recovering data after temporary network loss;
- managing accounts, companies, and devices;
- maintaining the security of the service;
- diagnosing technical issues and providing support;
- complying with applicable legal obligations.
Who Can Access Location Data
If a device is connected to a company in RouteVision, its current location, route history, and related work data may be accessible to authorized users of that company in accordance with their assigned roles and access permissions.
Users of one company should not be able to access the data of another company through the ordinary functions of the service.
Sharing Data with Third Parties
RouteVision may use third-party technical service providers required to operate the service, including hosting providers, email services, SMS providers, mapping services, and routing services.
Such providers receive only the data required to perform the relevant technical function.
We may also disclose data when required by applicable law or by a lawful request from a competent government authority.
Data Retention
Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide RouteVision functionality, maintain security, satisfy contractual and legal obligations, and resolve potential disputes.
Retention periods for particular categories of data may depend on company settings, the type of data, and applicable legal requirements.
Backup copies may remain stored for a limited period after deletion of the primary record until the normal backup retention cycle is completed.
Security
RouteVision applies technical and organizational measures designed to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, and destruction.
These measures may include secure connections, authentication controls, separation of access between companies, request rate limiting, secure storage of credentials, and security event logging.
No method of storing or transmitting information can guarantee absolute security. Security measures are therefore reviewed and improved as the service evolves.
Data Access, Correction, and Deletion
A user or authorized company representative may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data and the account, unless continued retention is required by law or justified by legitimate security interests.

To protect the user, RouteVision may require identity verification or confirmation of authority over the relevant account before completing a request.
Children’s Data
RouteVision is intended for use by companies and their authorized users for work-related purposes and is not intended for independent use by children.

RouteVision’s technical infrastructure and service providers may be located in countries other than the user’s country. In such cases, data may be processed outside the user’s country to the extent necessary to provide the service.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
RouteVision may update this Privacy Policy when the functionality of the service, legal requirements, or data processing practices change.
